Office Removals Packing Guidelines
Organising your office removals will require expertise from an Office Removals Company – no matter how large or small your office move is. They’ll be able to run through an inventory of all your office furniture and advise on how best to pack each item. To avoid any last minute panics, ask your Office Removals company to supply crates and labels in advance so you can pack any files, books or stationery that you won’t need in the last week.
Whilst the majority of the packing will be done by your Office Removals Company anything you can get done in advance of the move day will give your office move a head start. Leave any dismantling of furniture and lifting or heavy items to the Office Removals Company as they will be insured against any damage.
Storage units, cabinets and bookcases should be completely emptied for removals, with contents being clearly labelled with which storage unit they belong to. Fireproof 3-4 drawer fire resisting cabinets can be left “loaded” for removal but locked up and keys kept in a safe place. Your Office Removals team will advise you on this.
Any technical equipment such as PC’s, printers, faxes, phones etc. will be moved by a specialist IT & Telecoms Company. Staff should be advised to shut down their PCs fully on the last working day in the office to make it easier for the IT relocation company to disconnect the equipment quickly.
If you have any equipment that is leased, you should check with the leasing company about whether your Office Removals Company are insured to move such equipment. Sometimes, the leasing company will arrange their own transit. Items such as photocopiers and printers will need to be emptied of any liquids or sealed toners (as these can sometimes leak in transit).
If you have any concerns about how your office items need to packed, speak to your Office Removals Company, they will be more than happy to help you to ensure your office move project goes smoothly and you arrive in your new office with everything in the right place and in one piece!
Find an Office Removals Company in your area to help with your packing and transit of your office belongings and furniture, and don’t forget to include the Office Removals Checklist when planning an office move.
